The MS Plus Ikara-Flinders Ranges Adventure

I AM TREKKING THE IKARA-FLINDERS-RANGES TO FIGHT MS!

Multiple sclerosis is the most common disease of the central nervous system and it strikes young people in the prime of their lives.

There is currently no known cure.

It's quite staggering that multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other neurological condition, with the average age of diagnosis just 30 years old. Every case of multiple sclerosis is unique – the symptoms, severity and progress of the disease are different for everyone.

So I’m trekking the rugged country of the Ikara-Flinders Ranges in South Australia in late May 2023, to raise funds to deliver essential MS support services and ensure no one faces MS alone.

Please DONATE now to support my trek and give hope to thousands of Australians living with multiple sclerosis.

Thank you for your support.

And the training continues!

Monday 17th Apr
Hi everyone

Whilst I haven't had many opportunities for training via bushwalking, I've been sure to keep up the walking on the weekends.  I was fortunate enough when I was in Tassie to visit Tahune Airwalk, I did a walk along the Dover foreshore, I also walked around the foreshore and up to The Bluff in Devonport.  I was walking around both Hobart and Melbourne on the days I was visiting there.  I just have to keep those steps up!

Since returning home, it's been a bit wet in Sydney but I managed to get out this past weekend walking around the Harbour and across the bridge - I did 15km yesterday alone!  So I just have to keep moving carrying my little day pack of water and other necessities.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me!  It is greatly appreciated and I'm just under halfway to my fundraising goal.  I have until the end of April to continue my fundraising so If you're thinking of doing it, and haven't had an opportunity yet, now is your chance.

Thanks again!
Nic

In training!

Tuesday 21st Mar
Hi everyone

I'm currently in training for this hike in May/June and have been making sure to get out walking, with a day pack full of water (!), over the last two weekends.  I walked 15km on the 12th March, 8km on the 18th March and 13km on the 19th March.  This is on top of the walks I'm doing during the week.

Thanks for your donations and although I still have a way to go, I appreciate your support!

thank you!
