Did you know that Tasmania has the highest occurrence of multiple sclerosis in Australia?
World MS Day is coming up on Wednesday 31 May 2017 and all Tasmanian schools are invited to Wear Red for World MS Day to support people living with multiple sclerosis.
The concept is simple: wear red items of clothing in return for a gold coin donation to MS.
In addition to contributing towards this worthy cause, registered Tasmanian schools will also be in the running to win 1 of 6 cash prizes generously donated by award-winning Tasmanian real estate agency Petrusma Property.
Businesses and community groups can participate too and Wear Red for World MS Day!
Visit www.WearRedForMS.org.au for more information or to register!
The Tour de Gorge takes in the many trails of the Pilliga Forest and offers an opportunity for riders to see parts of the Pilliga they might not know exist! The ride starts at the award-winning Sculptures in the Scrub precinct at Dandry Gorge Day Use area. This fun, family day out includes options for a 45km Mountain Bike Ride and 10km Fun/ Beginners Ride.
Spectators also have the opportunity to take in the 3km Sculptures Walk while the riders are on course, featuring the five sculptures as well as the walk through the bottom of the gorge.
Come and support the riders and local community stall holders and enjoy morning tea or a BBQ lunch at one of the stalls while taking in the sights.
Registration forms are available from the Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre. Entry is $25 per person, including rego pack and entries close 30 August 2017.
Contact the Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre on 02 9843 4011 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
