HIGH TEA WITH STEPHANIE

May 2019

Fundraising doesn’t only have to feel good – it can taste good too!

With this in mind, Stephanie decided to hold a high tea event to raise both awareness and funds for people like her living with multiple sclerosis. Her high tea included trivia, prizes, lucky dips and a raffle. As someone living with the disease Stephanie wanted to run an event which emphasized accessibility and inclusivity. “We chose this as everyone could participate regardless of mobility,” Steph says.

She enlisted the help of local businesses who donated raffle prizes, food and party supplies. Local artist Meg McIntyre even donated an original artwork as the grand prize. Stephanie’s initiative, savvy and fantastic taste (cakes and all) enabled the large and diverse community involvement.

After months of planning and organization Stephanie’s hard work and dedication paid off. Originally she had set her fundraising goat at $3000 but ended up raising a fantastic $4304!

A huge thank you to Steph from everyone at the MS team!
