I've set myself a personal challenge which I am using to fundraise for MS. 

I will be running the 121km Great Victorian Rail Trail, the longest rail trail in Victoria, running from Tallarook to Mansfield. Confirmed date is the 28th October 2023!

MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system - currently there is no cure.

It's quite staggering to think that multiple sclerosis affects more young people than any other neurological condition, with the average age of diagnosis just 30 years old. Every case of multiple sclerosis is unique - the symptoms, severity and progress of the disease are different for everyone.

Hi all, 

I have received confirmation that I am clear to use the Great Victorian Rail Trail for this event!

I am also locking in the 28th October as the confirmed date for the fundraiser. As much support as we can get along in both the fundraising, as well as logitics on the day will all contribute towards an amazing cause. Please reach out to me if you can assist in ways other than strictly donations.

Hi all, 

I've undertaken a number of fundraising efforts for MS in the past and I thought it was time to branch out and do my own! Ever since my partner Prue was diagnosed with MS in 2018, I see the daily struggle that someone with MS goes through. It is clear how much value there is in MS Plus and so I am undertaking this challenge to make sure that people with MS get the support they need.

The challenge: on october 28th 2023, I will run the length of the Great Victorian Rail Trail, Victoria's longest rail trail. The trail from Tallarook to Mansfield is 121kms. I'm doing this to raise funds for MS, but also to bring awareness to what MS is and how a seemingly "normal" looking person can be going through a range of symptoms that can hinder their life in so many ways.

Why a long run? I think it's pretty likely that after running 121kms continuously I am going to have pain in my legs, extreme fatigue, mental blurriness and disorientation, and need support from my friends and family to get through it - all the things that people with MS go through every day of their lives.
