Scotch Oakburn College Student Executive's 12-hour MS Mega swim

Please help us to Make It Count For MS!

Fundraising for multiple sclerosis is something that the Scotch Oakburn Student Executive cares deeply about. There are over 33,000 people living with this disease in Australia with many in our own community affected by it. There is no known cure, but every dollar donated will take us closer to finding one. As well as this, funds raised will support those affected by MS to help manage and offer information and advice surrounding their condition, and many more service initiatives. By supporting this cause and our fundraising efforts, you can be satisfied in your contributions to helping Australians living with multiple sclerosis. The Student Executive will be running a 12 hour MS MegaSwim on the 31st of March. All Year 12s will be encouraged to participate. Regular movement and exercise is a key way to manage MS conditions and many people living with MS find water therapy and swimming to be a practical and beneficial way to move their body. It is easy on the body and a great way to improve strength and cardiovascular endurance for everyone living with MS or not, which is why we thought this would be a great challenge. It is something new at Scotch Oakburn, we hope to make a lasting impact, and we are really proud to be running the swim and supporting MS Plus this term. Please support our efforts in organising and partaking in this challenge!

MS Megaswim/Swimathon

Thursday 23rd Mar
Our MS Megaswim Challenge is taking place on the 31st of March from 8am-8pm at the Junior School Pool. We would love to have as much physical support on the day as possible. This means for Year 12s to come down in study lines, Junior School students observing throughout the day, and for anyone to come down to watch and cheer after school. We will be running a barbeque and bake sale towards the end of the day, so if you are coming be sure to bring a gold coin for a goodie. We hope to see you there on what will mark an amazing movement and be a fun day.
